United Synagogue to Hold Its Convention in Atlantic City, N. J. on May 8 to 10

To Issue New Prayer Book

The fifteenth annual convention of the United Synagogue of America will be held in Atlantic City, N. J., May 8, 9 and 10. It is expected that as a result of this convention a number of changes will be introduced which will considerably alter the present form of the organization. A program of expansion will also be undertaken.

About 800 delegates will attend the convention, it was stated.

Simultaneously with the convention of the United Synagogue will also take place the annual convention of the Women’s League, which is the women’s division of the United Synagogue. Rabbi Herman Abramowitz, of Montreal is president of the United Synagogue of America, and Mrs. Charles I. Hoffman is president of the Women’s League.

A report will also be presented to the convention on the new prayer book which the United Synagogue of America is about to publish.
