Nathan Sweedler, Brooklyn attorney, is urged as one of the commissioners under the new plan for the reorganization of the hospitals of the city, by two Brooklyn papers, the “Brooklyn Daily Eagle” and the “Brooklyn Daily Times.”
“Mr. Sweedler, because of his intimate knowledge of conditions, his high standing in the community and his unselfish devotion to such service, would be an admirable selection for the position of deputy commissioner of hospitals under the new form of organization.” the ‘Eagle’ declares.
“There are influential factors in Brooklyn’s social and political life which would view with interest and pleasure the appointment of Mr. Sweedler to one of these posts. If energy, executive capacity and business ability constitute the touchstone for success in such an undertaking, Mr. Sweedler unquestionably possesses the needed qualifications,” writes the ‘Times.’
