M. M., Ussishkin, Executive Director of the Jewish National Fund, who left Palestine for the purpose of touring the European countries in the interests of the Fund, arrived today in Kishineff, the capital of Bessarabia, now under Roumanian rule.
According to reports received from Kishineff many prominent Jews came to the station to extend a welcome to Mr. Ussishkin. The welcome was, however, narred by the appearance of anti-Semitic students who threw decayed vegetables and rotten eggs at the visitor, exclaiming “Jews, go to Palestine.”
