The Jewish National Council (Vaad Leumi) today voted an allocation of L173,525 toward the education budget of the Hebrew school system which totals approximately L500,000. The Palestine Government’s subsidy in the budget is about L50,000. Schools supported and controlled by the Council number 407, with an enrollment of 56,000 students. Dr. Ben-Zion Mossinsohn has been appointed head of the Council’s education department.
