The Board of Deputies of British Jews issued a statement today denouncing the desecration of tombstones at Manchester Jewish Cemetery. It called the vandalism the “lowest form of conduct to which people can descend.” The citizens of Manchester, Jew and Gentile, “feel a sense of shame that people so behave,” the board added.
