Vandals went on a rampage at a synagogue in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk, according to the National Conference on Soviet Jewry. The entire synagogue and its contents, except for the Torah scrolls, were damaged in the attack. The incident took place amid a recent increase in Russian anti-Semitism, sparked in part by the nation’s ongoing economic troubles.
