Disgust felt by many Germans at the recent anti-Jewish excesses found expression today in crudely-printed verse posted on many phone booths throughout Berlin. The verse read: “On the ninth of November, in a spontaneous way, Many Jewish windows were smashed by un-uniformed S.A.”
