The visaless Jewish refugees who arrived in Palestine last week aboard two captured vessels will be released, provided they pass the usual security check, Colonial Secretary George Hall told the House of Commons today. He emphasized that visas for the immigrants will be deducted by the Palestine Government from the monthly Jewish immigration quota.
(It was announced in Palestine earlier this week that the Government has already informed the Jewish Agency that 3,000 visas will be deducted to cover “illegal” immigrants.)
