A question as to the developments in the question of the dispute between Arabs and Jews in Palestine over the Western Wall was put by Lieut. Commander Kenworthy.

The Secretary. Mr. Amery, stated that the high legal authorities have not yet replied on whether or not the status quo of the Wall was infringed upon. When Kenworthy pressed the point as to why Arabs were permitted to build on the Wall in the meantime, the Secretary replied evasively.
