War Criminals Freed in Germany in Crhistmas Amnesty

Nazi Field Marshal Wilhelm List and 123 other German war criminals serving sentences imposed by United States courts were freed today by a Chrismas amnesty order.

Field Marshal List was sentenced to a life term for war crimes against civilians in Southeastern Europe. He was freed on a medical parole. The others included 16 “minor” war criminals and 107 Germans convicted of killing Jews and similar offense.
