Washington Campaign for $35,000 Relief Fund Starts April 25

A drive to raise $35,000 toward a national fund for Palestine rehabilitation and for the relief of Jews in Germany and other European countries will open in this city on April 25.

Edmund I. Kaufman and Isadore Hershfeld have been named co-chairmen of the campaign. Headquarters will be in the Jewish Community Center. The drive will be directed by Louis E. Spiegler. Mrs. Eve Bralove is in charge of headquarters.

The local drive is part of the nation-wide United Jewish Campaign, which is making urgent appeals for funds from Jews in this country to aid Jews in distress in Europe. Organizations anticipating in the local drive include the American Joint Distribution Committee, the District Zionist organization, the Hadassah, Mizrachi and Paole Zion societies.
