Wednesday’s planned meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Israel’s acting foreign minister was canceled, according to officials at the Israeli Embassy in Washington. The officials said Shlomo Ben-Ami’s departure from London had been delayed. They added that they are now trying to reschedule Ben-Ami’s Washington meetings, which also include an address at the National Press Club.
