A large group of Jews, including several Zionist leaders, left yesterday for Palestine on the Italian liner Rex. While a majority are going to Palestine as tourists, some of them intend to settle there.
Among those sailing were David Wertheim, general secretary of the Poale Zion-Zeire Zion; David Kasner of California, who will take charge of the sport activities of the Hapoel in Palestine; Rabbi Edward Israel of Baltimore; Rabbi Chayim Tevel of the Sephardic Congregation of Borough Park, and Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Meizer of Borough Park.
