Officials of the Frankfurt book fair announced today that the West German “Freedom Prize” had been awarded to British Jewish publisher Victor Gollancz. The prize is awarded annually to the man of letters who has done most for the cause of peace in the previous year.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
