The first progressive Hebrew kindergarten in the West has just been organized here in connection with the opening of the new building of the Seattle Talmud Torah. The kindergarten will be in charge of A. L. Greenfield, Hebrew pedagogue who came here a few years ago from China, where he was the founder and principal of Jewish elementary day schools and kindergartens in Harbin and Tien-Tsin.
