While the Roumanian Jews observed a day of mourning in synagogues as a result of the recent anti-Jewish riots, M. Popescu, president of the Roumanian Students’ League issued a statement to the press containing further anti-Jewish propaganda. In this statement he declares that all minorities, including Jews and Hungarians are a danger to Roumania. They are incapable of assimilation with Roumanians and must be treated like aliens, he declares.
