Will Consider Nansen Proposal, Simon Says

The British government will give the most careful consideration to the recommendation of the Nansen Office that credit be assigned for settling stateless persons in countries where such settlement may be possible, Sir John Simon, Secretary for Foreign Affairs, declared today in the House of Commons.

The minister stated that the government has not yet received from the League office the official communique supporting the Nansen proposal. This communication will probable reach the minister within the next few days.

The statement made by Sir John Simon was a reply to an interpellation made in the House of Commons today by Rhys Davies.
