With the exception of several Socialist and Communist dissidents there are no Jews in the new Reichstag.

The anti-Jewish agitators, the Nazi chieftains, Goebbels, Goering, Reventlow and Muenchmeyer were re-elected.

The general view here is that the Hitlerite losses in the Sunday election will lead to a further decline in the Nazi movement. The Nazi leaders in the meantime are trying to cover up their defeat with an intensification of anti-Semitism.

On election night a Jewish cemetery in Altona was laid waste. Many tombstones were defaced with swastika signs.
