To obtain funds for the local chapter of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization, a number of members have turned their private automobiles into taxis, charging fifty cents for local trips and one dollar per passenger in groups of three and four to New York. This unique method of fund-raising is proving quite popular. Thus far the local taxi companies have done nothing about the “competition.”
