Women’s Group Hunts Stories for Children

How to fill the need for children’s stories of Jewish interest is being considered today by the Women’s League of the United Synagogue of America, following the first meeting of the season of the Executive Council held at the Jewish Theological Seminary. At this meeting, presided over by Mrs. Samuel Spiegel, national president, first prize for the winning play-let of a contest was awarded to Mrs. Althea Osber Silberman of Hartford, Connecticut.

A meeting of branch members will be held in the “Succah” on the lawn of the Jewish Theological Seminary next Wednesday, it was announced by Mrs. Israel Davidson. A joint gathering of all the Long Island groups will also be announced for October 17. It will be held at Temple Beth El, Cedarhurst, Long Island.
