A mission of the World Bank arrived here today from Washington to carry out a survey of Israel’s economy, in connection with the expected request by Israel of a loan from the World Bank.
The mission, which will remain in Israel for two weeks, came at the invitation of the Governor of the Israeli National Bank. After the survey is completed, the president of the World Bank, Eugene Black, is expected to come to Israel for a brief visit.
