World Health Body Opens Sanitary Engineering Laboratories in Israel

Three new laboratories devoted exclusively to sanitary engineering research have been established by the World Health Organization at Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology, located in Haifa, it was announced here today.

Dr. Alberto M. Wachs, WHO advisor to the Technion, will direct the work of the laboratories which will be used for instruction of civil, agricultural and chemical engineering students, for sanitary engineering instrumentation and for research in sanitary biology and bacteriology. Extensive aid to these new laboratories has been furnished by the United States Operations Mission in Israel.
