The World Jewish Congress has addressed a communication to Cevat Acikalin, Turkish Ambassador to Britain, expressing gratification with his government’s campaign to eliminate discrimination against any section of the Turkish population, it was learned here today.

The Congress said that these measures are “in line with the democratic principles upon which the Turkish Republic is based and in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter.” The Turkish Ministry of the Interior recently instructed all local officials to obey the national law which forbids discrimination against minority groups in the country.
