World Jewish Congress to Hold Post-war Relief Parley; Russian Jews Invited

A War Emergency Conference of the World Jewish Congress will be held in New York in the week of March 11-18, 1944, for the purpose of formulating a program for the post-war reconstruction and rehabilitation of Jewish life, to be submitted to the leaders of the United Nations, it was announced today by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and Dr. Nahum Goldmann, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the World Jewish Congress.

Invitations to participate in the Conference have been issued to affiliated communities and organizations in 22 countries of the Western Hemisphere, to the British Section of the World Jewish Congress, to the Jewish National Council of Palestine, as well as to the Jewish communities in the neutral European countries, in North Africa, and in the Near East. Invitations have also been extended to the Jewish community of Moscow and to the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee in Kuibyshev.
