The Huldersfield Daily Examiner of England, in a review of the Jewish situation, says:

In spite of the centuries of attempts to hold the Jew down, even to exterminate him, he was more numerous today than he had ever been. There were 116,000,000 Jews in the world, and they were in all lands. The Jews were essentially a city people, not necessarily of their own choosing, but because they were compelled to live in the cities throughout the centuries. Fourteen cities of the world had one-third of the Jews crowded into them. The Jews were everywhere because of persecution, and because they were everywhere there was no people in the world more internationally-minded than the Jews. At the same time, and paradoxical as it might seem, there was no people with such strong national and racial consciousness as the Jews. The Jews had been the victims of physical violence, but they had never retaliated by resorting to physical violence. Yet they had survived every nation that had tried to kill them off.

The Jews everywhere in the world were in a minority, and all minorities were inclined to be clannish. Whenever a minority were the victims of the oppression of the powers that be the minority tended to become radical and revolutionary. It was still a disadvantage and a handicap to be a Jew in practically every country in the world. The Jew to get ahead had to go against the current, and this made an individual, as well as a people, strong. The Jew, because of his uphill fight, had developed qualities of shrewdness, ingenuity, and cleverness to a marked degree. Usually the Jew got on very well, and that was one reason why he was not liked.

‘ONLY FOOLS OR BIGOTS CAN CREDIT PROTOCOLS’

The Irish Press, a daily published in Dublin, carries the following editorial on the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”:

The Swiss Jewish community has won a signal victory in its action against the National Socialist leaders. The judge of the Berne Court not only condemned the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” as constituting a forgery, but also expressed his astonishment that such an idiotic question as that of their authenticity could be discussed for seventeen days in a court of law. Nonsensical as they are, the “Protocols” have been used to stir up racial hatred in many countries.

Now that it has been subjected to a searching examination in a court of law and once more proved false, only the very foolish or the very bigoted can ever again put any credence in the “Protocols of Zion.”
