The alumni of the Yale Forestry school, of which Captain Robert Rosenbluth is a graduate, have absolute faith in the innocence of Rosenbluth and are disappointed that Congress at its recent session did not order a full probe of the case. Such an investigation, they believe, would have demonstrated the total innocence of the Jewish captain.
“It is the opinion of our alumni” declared Professor H.H. Chapman, Secretary of the Alumni Association, “that further misrepresentation of this case by the circulation of vicious slanders should no longer be tolerated. All the facts in this case are a matter of public record in Pierce County, Washington, Numerous affidavits by reputable army officers, including Colonel Robert S. Thomas, who was in command of the post at Camp Lewis when Major Cronkhite was killed, testify to the mature of the accident and establish the impossibility that the suspected and accused man could have been guilty of the crime.”
