The Dubnov Fund, created recently to commemorate the 70th. birthday of the famous Jewish historian, Professor Simeon Dubnov, has decided at a meeting of Jewish cultural workers associated with the tribute in Germany, Eastern Europe and America, to publish in conjunction with the Yiddish Scientific Institute, of which Professor Dubnov is a member of the Presidium, a Yiddish Encyclopaedia named in honour of Professor Dubnov.
Dr. Leo Bramson, the President of the O.R.T., was in the chair, and reports were presented by Dr. Gergel and Mr. Schalit, who explained that it was planned to have the Encyclopaedia appear within the next five years, comprising in all ten big volumes dealing with the entire field of scientific knowledge. A special joint stock company is to be founded to publish the work, with a capital of 50,000 dollars.
