The Yiddish Scientific Institute, international Jewish organization with headquarters here, announced today it will hold a special scientific assembly in honor of Dr. Moses Gaster, chief rabbi of the Sephardic Jews of England. Dr. Gaster, known as the Haham (sage), celebrated his eightieth birthday Wednesday. He is a member of the institute’s honorary board of trustees, together with Prof. Albert Einstein, Dr. Sigmund Freud, and Dr. Edmund Sapir of Columbia.
