Twelve Jews are under arrest here as the resut of a disturbance which followed the action of the Jewish labor cooperative store keeping its place open for “business as usual” on Yom Kippur.
Observant Jews gathered about the place protesting the sacrilege. The situation became somewhat threatening and the police arrested a dozen of those gathered at the shop.
Shortly after the arrests were made the Jewish cooperative capitulated to the religious sentiments of the community and closed its doors.
