Young German-Jewish Refugee Soldier Killed in Home Town While Battling Nazi Troops

Pfc. Curtis Field, who was brought to Cleveland by the National Refugee Service some ten years ago from the city of Fuerth, Germany, was killed in his home-town on Feb. 28, while battling German troops, it was revealed today. The Jewish Childrens’ Bureau, which took over the care of young Field after he was brought here by the NRS, announced that it was informed yesterday of his death in Fuerth.
