Yugoslav Government Has Not Asked for Extradition of Mufti,but Considers Him a War Criminal

Dr. Radomir Zivkovic, Yugoslav member of the United Nations War Crimes Commission, disclosed today that he has received no instructions from his government to demand the extradition to Yugoslavia of the ex-Mufti, congrary to reports circulated here and in Washington.

He said, however, that the Mufti has been listed as a war criminal by Yugoslavia for recruiting a Yugoslav Moslem Legion to fight with the Nazis and that “his case is being dealth with at present on a political level by the governments concerned.”
