The policy of Arab appeasement by the State Department is chiefly responsible for the current Egyptian-Israel border clashes, Dr. Emanuel Neumann, chairman of the executive of the Zionist Organization of America, declared today at a meeting of that body.

He warned that “if this policy of appeasement is continued by the State Department it will result in a further deterioration of the situation and even greater bloodshed.” He emphasized that “when the Arab leaders are made to understand that their present tactics will win them no further concessions on America’s part, the violence will come to an end.”
