An appeal for quick passage by Congress of the joint bill, introduced under bi-partisan sponsorship, for a grant-in-aid of $150,000,000 to the state of Israel was voiced here last night by Benjamin G. Browdy, president of the Zionist Organization of America, addressing a meeting of the national executive committee of the Z.O.A. at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. The meeting was attended by about 100 members from all parts of the country.

Mr. Browdy also stressed the urgent need of aiding the United Jewish Appeal and supporting the Israeli bond issue of $500,000,000 which will be offered in the United States on May 1st. The meeting was also addressed by Rabbi Abba Silver and by the two General Zionist Israeli leaders, Joseph Serlin and Major Shalom Zysman, now on a visit to this country.
