Z.O.A. to Combat Arab Propaganda Against Israel in U.S. Universities

A series of public affairs conferences designed to bring to the public at large an understanding of the problems relating to the security of Israel will be held in major communities throughout the country, according to an announcement today by Harry Torczyner, national chairman of the Public Affairs Committee of the Zionist Organization of America.

As part of the ZOA program to combat Arab and anti-Israel propaganda on the campuses, the rallies and briefing conferences will be followed in each community by a faculty-student conference at the university located in the respective city at which some or all of the panelists at the public affairs gatherings will participate. The panel of experts who will address the country-wide general public and campus gatherings will include prominent journalists, legislators, representatives of the U.S. State Department, and Israeli diplomatic representatives.

Rabbi Armond Cohen, spiritual leader of the Park Synagogue in Cleveland, has been named by Jacques Torczyner. ZOA president, as chairman of the newly-formed "Universities Campus Activities Committee" in furtherance of the efforts to counteract the propaganda of Arab students and to impart to the university students and faculties the true facts on the Middle East situation.
