Gedalia Zakif, veteran Palestine Foundation Fund and Zionist official was named today secretary general of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem He succeeded Snicmo Elsonberg who has retired.
Mr Zakif who has served as permanent representative of the United Jewish Appeal in Latin America also directed Zionist fund-raising in France and Argentina. His most recent position was as head of the United Israel Appeal in Canada and as director of the Zionist Organization of Canada.
