A Jewish State in Palestine will mean free and democratic rights for all citizens. Arabs and Jews alike, the American Zionist Emergency Council pointed out today in a letter addressed to former Senator Guy M. Gillette.
The Council declared that Mr. Gillette was “misled” when he repeatedly asserted, either directly or by implication, that if a Jewish State were to be established in Palestine, Arabs would be excluded from citizenship or otherwise suffer loss of civil, religious or group rights.
