France took time out from war activities today to mark the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Emile Zola, famous novelist who gained international renown for his role in the Dreyfus Affair. Edouard Herriot, Radical Socialist leader and president of the Association of Friends of Zola, presided at ceremonies at Zola’s tomb at the Panthon. The Government was represented by Education Minister Albert Sarraut.
