Israel’s US ambassador says it would be a ‘mistake’ for Biden administration to rejoin Iran nuclear deal

Ron Dermer said Biden should consult with Israel and the Gulf Arab states in any policy having to do with Iran’s nuclear program.

The 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action allows for sanctions to be reimposed if Iran violates the agreement, which the U.S. left in 2018.

The weapons ban will expire in October as part of the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, a deal the United States left in 2018.
