Moroccan group celebrated for Jewish cemetery restoration work

A Washington ceremony hailed the Houses of Life program under the auspices of the Moroccan government for repairing some 12,600 graves.

Germany provided the funding to renovate the cemeteries, which were destroyed in World War II.

Lithuania’s prime minister reiterated that all Jewish cemeteries in the country would be marked or memorialized by 2017.
