Work to secure Western Wall stones in egalitarian area completed

A 400-pound stone dislodged from Robinson’s Arch in 2018 crashed down on one of the platforms while a worshipper was present.

The haredi Orthodox chair of the Knesset Finance Committee plans to use his position to block the approximately $10 million needed, JTA has learned.

The Robinson’s Arch plaza at the Western Wall will come under the control of a future government-appointed council.
