The Munich Government has put Bavaria under martial law, according to a Berlin dispatch Saturday. Cabinet members have become convinced by the evidence submitted by Federal agents that an attempt to overthrow the present form of government by Hitler’s cohorts and other so-called patriotic leagues was imminent. It was also proved to the Cabinet that the Chief of the Munich police, Noerty, had permitted himself to be fooled by Hitler, and Noerty has been requested to resign.
