“juedische Presse” Finds Difficulties in Crimean Project

The “Juedische Presse,” the organ of the Agudath Israel, while expressing its willingness to co-operate in the Crimean colonization proposal, sees many difficulties in the way of its realization.

In an editorial, the paper states that it will be impossible to raise the necessary capital to finance the plan for a Jewish Republic because the Jewish Communists, who would, probably, seek to control it, would inauguate anti-religious rules, thereby alienating Jewish help. This proposal, it continues, will require the participation of the entire Jewry, and in this case it will be even more difficult to raise the money necessary than in the case of Palestine.
