The London Times reports that King Hussein has repudiated the allegations that he is desirous of the Caliphate. The Times says that his statements have been generally Moderate and that Hussein had deprecated the Extremist Arab leaders of Palestine, considering their exaggerated claims impracticable.
The Times confirms the report of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that Hussein is proceeding to Shunes, the summer home of his son, Emir Abdullah, and that he has abandoned his projected visit to Palestine. The Times further states that Palestinian Arabs prefer that Palestine be excluded from the Anglo-Arab treaty rather than have it incorporated with the recognition of the Balfour Declaration, as demanded by Great Britain. The British Government has consented to the inclusion of Palestine in the Pan-Arabic Conference, but only if the Balfour Declaration is recognized.
