Several hundred Jewish refugees now stranded in Shanghai have not suffered from the bombardment of that city and the war now going on between the two Chinese parties, according to information received from the Jewish Emigration Committee of Charbin, the capital city of the Far-Eastern Republic.

The Committee has asked the Jewish Emigration Directorate here to communicate this information to the American relatives of the stranded refugees, who directed inquiries concerning their safety.
