The economic existence of tens of tens of thousands of Jewish families in Poland will be affected by a new bill which is now being prepared by the Polish Government, according to statements of Jewish members of the Polish Parliament. The new bill proposes to withdraw all concessions granted to private persons for the purpose of carrying on trade in monopolized articles in favor of Polish disabled war veterans.

During the discussions of the bill, the Jewish deputies proposed that instead of withdrawing the concessions, taxes be imposed on the concessionaires in favor of the disabled veterans. The motion was, however, rejected. The matter was the subject of discussion at a special meeting of the club of Jewish deputies, which decided to take up the matter with the Government.
