Maurice Bokanowski well known French Jewish financial expert. was appointed Minister of Commerce in the Cabinet of National Union formed by Raymond Poincare. following the fall of the Herriot government.

M. Bokanowski was originally considered for the post of Poincare’s aid in the Ministry of Finance.

Maurice Bokanowski was born in 1879 in Havre and has been elected several times to the Chambers and the Departments of the Seine. His eloquence and financial logic played an important roule in the overthrowal of the ministry in 1921.
