Judge Peyre in charge of the investigation of the Schwartzbard case, has notified M. Henri Torres, counsel for the defense, that the civil party intends to call new witnesses and has asked whether the defense would want to do likewise.

It was reported that Torres declared that the defense has proved the culpability of Petlura and that the civil party could not prove to the contrary. The defense, therefore, needs no new witnesses.
