Washington, D. C (Dec. 21)
(Jewish Daily Bulletin)
The House Immigration Committee met yesterday and discussed the Wadsworth amendment again, but reached no decision. Further consideration and action was postponed until January 4, the date set for the next meeting. It is understood that the discussion centered around the National Origins plan, the repeal of which seems favored by influential members of the Committee. The failure of the Committee to take action yesterday definitely disposed of hopes held by some that the House might accept the Wadsworth amendment before the Christmas recess.
