Dr. Chaim Weizmann was received yesterday by Secretary of Commerce Hoover and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nicholas Longworth. Dr. Weizmann also had a conference with Eugene Meyer, Jr. Chairman of the War Finance Corporation of the United States Government. Mr. Meyer was prominent in the Zionist Organization under the Brandeis administration.
Dr. Weizmann also conferred with Elwood Mead, United States Reclamation Commissioner. Dr. George Halperin and Mark Schwartz participated in the conference with Mr. Mead.
A luncheon was tendered to Dr. Weizmann by the Jewish Congressmen. Commander Kenworthy arrived here last night to join Dr. Weizmann.
