A war, to be carried on with revolver, rifle and whip, against the Jews in Roumania has been declared by the Christian League, the anti-Semitic organization formed by the followers of Alexander Cuza, according to a leaflet circulated by the League.
The “Curierul Israclite,” Roumanian Jewish newspaper, reproduces in its last issue the anti-Semitic leaflet showing that it was printed by the Roumanian military printing press. The newspaper asks the Ministry of War whether the military printing press exists for the publication of such propaganda.
The “Indreptarea,” the official organ of the Roumanian government, in its issue of today, repeats its accusation against the Union of Roumanian Jews, an organization composed of Jewish citizens of Old Roumania.
The paper charges that all the reports abroad concerning the anti-Jewish disturbances emanate from the Union.
